Winter Park Panorama II

Canon PowerShot SD1000
2 shot vertical panorama

I've finally discovered the secret of flawless stitching. It's not in the post-processing, but in the framing of the shot. Freehand panoramas can be stitched together in nearly any program (I use PP9) as long as you plan ahead before shooting your panorama. This time, I shot 2 horizontal shots and stitched them together in a vertical format. So where were the two images merged? The horizon ;) Since distortion can't be detected if you can't see it, frame your shots using the dark areas of the scene. A sneaky trick, but a very useful one =D Just thought I'd share that with anyone who's a panorama amateur like me!

Panoramic shots can be a blast, I love them because they give that wide-angle feel. This one was shot at the park by the picnic area, as you could probably tell by those snow-covered tables.

Please tell me what you think!
