Description
Day 206 of 365
Canon 60D, Tamron 10-24mm
Suppose I'll put this in the "urban exploration" category, even though this scene is obviously not an urban one
This is the machinery shed, part of my grandma's childhood farmstead. Obviously it hasn't been in use for a few years. Not sure when exactly it was built, but it was before 1938 when my grandmother was born. Her family stopped renting it in the 70s, and obviously somewhere down the line after that, whoever owned it didn't maintain it. I'm surprised it was still standing!
Obviously I boosted the colors in this a bit. There are just so many different routes to go with a scene like this. Jack up the HDR detail, make the colors muted, make it black and white entirely... but I like adding a little bit of vivid life to an old scene
Here's an exterior view of the barn: [link]
