Day 35: The Midwest is flat. Very flat. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have interesting geology! This was taken from Murray Hill Scenic Overlook in the Loess Hills of western Iowa. The hills were formed by wind-blown sediment, left behind by the glaciers from the last ice age. During the summer, they turn a lush green and are covered in all kinds of vegetation and wildlife
