Alright, so I was out in the garden today and a "challenge" idea came to mind. Here's how it goes:

1.) Take insect macros every day, and 2.) Post a different species for each day.

Thinking a month would be a fairly challenging period of time, so I'm going to start mine tomorrow (June 10th) and go until July 10th. So you should end up with an album of 30 or so images, all of a different species of insect. The photo that you post for each day MUST have been taken on that day, so no using multiple photos from any single day.

Why?

I want to get my macro skills back. I feel like it's been ages since I took a good insect photo, so this will be good practice for shooting in all kinds of conditions since the weather is likely to change. I want to get back that sense of patience that I used to have when it came to macro photography :meditate: This will also force me to be more active, posting my images here at the end of every day. =D

Side note, dead insects DO count, but only if you're really really desperate and lame. ;) I won't use any.

Don't have a macro lens? Don't worry, neither do I! :la: All of my images will be taken with the reverse macro technique. You can read up on that here if you're interested: billyunderscorebwa.deviantart.…

So, are you up for the challenge? :highfive:

:peace:

Hoping to get an EOS 60D very soon. When I do, I'll do this challenge! :)
