Warm December Frost by FramedByNature Warm December Frost by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
reverse lens technique

Okay, it wasn't really that warm... it was about 3 (farenheit) above zero. Still, the colors in the sunset provided for a pretty cool background 8-)

Please tell me what you think!

You're welcome :) Just one question if it's okay; when using reverse lens technique, isn't it quite easy do damago the lens, or do you do something special no not get it full of dust and scratches? Just wondering.. Anyway, great pic!

I use a reversing ring and re-mount the lens as fast as I can in a clean environment (i.e. minimal wind and not in a dusty room).

That's incredible. >< I love the scrolling, plantlike look to it! And the colors really are different, since frost would normally be taken with cold colors... The warm ones are really nice; they make it look kind of surreal.

THIS is phenomenal. I love how you use frost to make fauna shapes! And it's so beautiful, too, with that color in the background! It makes it look so natural!

This reminds me of those days waaaaay back when I still was in school and I'd wish like hell for this kind of pattern to be on my windows in the morning.

Because that meant "snow day."
