Vodka and Education by FramedByNature Vodka and Education by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
Tamron 10-24mm
3 shot HDR (-2, 0, +2)

An empty bottle of vodka, not 20 feet from the grounds of a local middle school (see the school crosswalk sign in the background?). Not to say that there's a direct connection between the two. Just observing an interesting situation! Another interesting fact: that same bottle is still there to this day (nearly 2 months later). I wonder how long it will stay...

Please tell me what you think!

У меня медведи крутят колесо и вырабатывают энергию. В конце рабочего дня пою их водкой.

I absolutely LOVE the autumn feel in the picture. c: It really kind of does come off as connecting to two, or at least the vodka having some importance. 'Cause autumn brings back-to-school stuff, and so yeah. This sounded better in my mind.

Even so. Great shot. The colours all compliment each other well, and the vodka bottle looks amazing. c:

are you doing your HDr through fotoshop or through camera with exposure?
I really want to learn this technique.

I use AEB (auto exposure bracketing) in-camera. Just set the range for the 3 exposures (usually -2, 0, +2). Then I merge the photos in Photomatix Pro.

:w00t: i love it man
the compisition is great, I have to know did you plan this or did you stumble apon it?
either way its great!!
the colours are bold and striking, with strong reds and browns it keeps its overall natural tone,
even the vodka has the tones. Im really liking all the reds and browns that pop up in your work, it always makes for great viewing, very appealing to the eye
terrific use of the rule of thirds, I love the slighly scued horizon lines
the Vodka bottle is perfectly focused from the rest of the piece,
it ties the entire work together fabulously, its just such a great foreground, with the leaves and vodka
great contrast between the blue of the sky and the reds of the leaves.

the only pick, and maybe let down... is that the sky is noisy!

other than that. GREAT JOB

Essentially, I found it. The bottle was laying down when I came across it, so technically, I manipulated the scene lol

well i assumed that you picked it up,
nobody leaves a vodka bottle standing up like that :giggle:
but thats still pretty cool that you just stumbled apon it and made it look like that
 great job!

Genious Evan! Got the message!

Beautifull angle and perspective!

I wouldn't resist to add a huge broken heel behind the bottle appearing through.....It's so hard not to go to far composing a picture....Good job @ the right time!:sun:

From my point of view, the alcoholic point doesn't touch my so much in this pic.
But damn ! I found every touch of colors here so awesome !
And the colors, with the perspective, make it so fucking awesome !!
Good job, and continue for what you can feel and share it ;)

Yeah, I had hoped to emphasize the concept a little more by making the school signs more prominent, but I didn't want to disturb the scene.
Thank you very much! :thanks:
