Urban Electric

First lightning images of the year! This lightning storm looked much more impressive in person. Keep in mind that these were all at 10mm, which made the lightning seem much more distant than it really was. It was firing nearly constantly, I probably could have taken a video as the flashes cast my shadow upon the street. Shooting weather in an urban environment can be very frustrating. Luckily, most of this lightning was directly overhead, so the street lights didn't interfere with it too badly in the image.
