Tornado in the Plainsby *FramedByNature

near Max, Nebraska

A tornado touches down across the sandhills of Max, NE as the storm's mesocyclone churns eastward. This would be the first of at least a couple tornadoes of the day. If you look back in there to the left of the main tornado, you can see something else trying to touch down. Didn't see that at the time, but it appears there may be two tornadoes on the ground at once in this photo. :nod:

Oh wow, breathtaking photo~! Lovin' the tornado. They're so interesting, minus the whole devastating side effects and all. Anyways, I really like how even though the clouds are so dark and scary, there's still a fair amount of light you can see from behind them, and there seems to be a lot in the foreground, too. It's an interesting composition.
