The September Supercell by FramedByNature The September Supercell by FramedByNature
:star: Witness the power of nature...:star:

Here's the first image of a series documenting a supercell we had roll through the Omaha area back on September 15th, 2010. :) The initial view of it was really cool because you could see the base structure as well as the anvil above. Had to shoot ultra-wide to frame it all (10mm on a full-frame 5D lol) but I sort of like the effect. The circle vignette is the result of putting a crop-sensor lens on a full-frame camera, i.e. it's too wide

I'll post the rest of the images from this "chase" tomorrow over on FramedByNature.NET! :highfive:

I get a similar effect with the circle vignette from a combination of a wide angle attachment on my 18mm...it has kind of become a signature for some of my wide angle work....I like how it helps frame an image....

Beautiful shot, BTW!
