When processing my storm images, I try to keep them realistic in terms of exposure/balance. But sometimes, it's just freaking fun to go a little heavier on the HDR processing of a menacing sky lol.
This is one of those cases where I started out with a ridiculous stress-relief HDR processing, but ended up liking so much that I had to post it (after bringing it back a tad closer to reality, of course).
HDR is really great for bringing out areas like the finer inflow details on the lower right, which otherwise would have likely blown out due to the high contrast.
I may have to make an HDR tutorial sometime in the future, if anyone would be interested To see the full set of images from this day, click here!
