There's really only so many photos you can take of a giant group of birds. This was one of my favorites, though. Occasionally, an eagle will make a close pass to the flock and they'll all scare up into a "vortex" formation. There were so many geese there this time, you could have several vortexes going at once, while parts of the group remained floating on the water. 1.4 million is a ridiculous number of snow geese. :faint:
