The Earth Has a Shadow

Yes, even big things like the Earth cast shadows just like you and me. Due to the curvature of the Earth, you can see this shadow begin to rise above the eastern horizon as the sun sets. I noticed the dark blue glow above the horizon after a flock of geese disappeared into the distance. The symmetry with the moon worked perfectly, as it was nearly directly above where the shadow began
