A hawk lifts off of a tree branch in the golden morning light at Squaw Creek NWR. Though it wasn't intentional, the shutter speed was just slow enough to capture the motion of the wing tips! I have tremendous respect for bird photographers (and wildlife photographers in general). These birds are so skittish, they may fly off if they see/hear your car coming from practically a mile away. This was my first time shooting birds ( ~Nebraskies took me to the NWR) and although I got some good shots, they were tough as hell to get. I highly recommend trying bird photography sometime if you're up to a challenge. If you ever see a decent bird/hawk image on dA, be sure to leave them a nice comment because this stuff is tough to capture =D

Please tell me what you think!

At least he was kind enough to let me snap one shot. Most of them fly before you even get a chance :XD:

Foolish human. I am much too busy for your trifling photo-taking. :|

It's not the subject, but it certainly gives you a story.

Intriguing! Interesting how the marks look like birds themselves :o
