Street-Level Sunset by FramedByNature Street-Level Sunset by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
3 shot HDR (-2, 0, +2)

Instead of shooting from the kitchen window, I hunted down my dad's tripod and headed outside. Taken from a street-level perspective, I figured it would be a nice change from the usual shots of my street from the window. The sunset clouds were pretty great, really nice textures. Of course, I wish they would have lit up a bit more, but you can't always have the perfect sunset =D

Please tell me what you think!

When I first saw this... I didn't think it was real. This may be one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. The sky looks like it's on fire and the over all feel is... calming. You should be very proud of this!

A guide to HDR Photography. It was that exact picture, because I was looking at it and thinking how familiar it was.

A published book, or an online thing, or what? Now I'm curious. Any way you can give me a link? =D

I tried finding it online, but I guess it was locally published or something. I saw it at a bookstore and it was just this photo and words along the line of 'A Guide to HDR Photography' but I don't remember exactly.

I'll try to find it again next time I go.

This is one of the most interesting pictures of a cul-de-sac neighborhood I've ever seen. With some help from mother nature you've turned this common scene into something magical, like peering into another world that slightly different. The odd glow on the garage doors and the porch lights really add to the atmosphere. I guess it goes without saying to point out that is well composed - the road meanders much like a river through the scene.

Yeah, that's certainly a rare occasion. Lately we've either just had high thin clouds or completely cloudy skies :hmm:

Wow. That looks so much like a painting. I like how everything's like on fire (because of the sunset and the dark clouds :D) yet nobody seems to care anymore. Hahaha. Fav+

Nice one, dude! The contrast of the clouds with the brilliant orange of the sunset makes it all look like smoke and fire! (which equals awesome)

Would it be possible for you to try for a scene like this in a less familiar area? I know I've seen your street a number of times already, and I haven't even been watching you very long :D

Haha yeah I'll try to take the tripod to the park sometime. Hopefully the skies will cooperate ;)
