It's not too often you get to see good (local) storm structure like this in September. Earlier in the evening I actually set up a time lapse of this storm at the kitchen window. Unfortunately, the entire video ended up under-exposed so by the time this incredible storm was taking over the neighborhood, all I had was a bunch of black frames. Figures. Oh well, at least I got some great images. Only had to drive a mile from home to the high school to get this open vantage point. Note: there are still a couple people on the field. :roll:

whoa just.. just whoa. that is so awe-inspiring. having the person on the field really puts the size and magnitude of that cloud into perspective!!
great shot! :) the colours of the cloud and the sunset-y sky are beautiful and really great in contrast.
