Sorry about the lack of the submissions over the past couple days, been on a short vacation Anywho, shot this a few days ago when I went out to clear my head and watch the sunset. Drove a bit and found this fantastic overlook to watch from. As the sun sank through the atmospheric haze, you could begin to make out sunspot 1520, the very sunspot that produced last night's aurora display. Photos to come!
I would like to add that this is not "photoshopped" in the manipulative sense lol. The thick haze allowed for an even exposure of both foreground and background (sun), hence the stunning color/gradient of the solar disk.
