Shot this one out the window as Chris blasted east down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota. There was some circulation above us for a short period of time, but the main risk was the hail bombs. Took this photo right before the giant hail started. I certainly wasn't gonna risk sticking my camera out the window if there were softballs falling from the sky. Same reason we didn't want to stop to collect this record-breaking hail- we didn't want to die Sorry about the poor quality of this one, it's tough to get clear photos when you're moving Really should have put on the 50mm f/1.4 when we got farther from this storm. Not sure why I didn't... then I wouldn't have had to ISO up so much and could have gotten faster shutter speeds. Anyway! I'm rambling now.
