Precip Over Wheat by FramedByNature Precip Over Wheat by FramedByNature
June 19th, 2011
west of McCook, Nebraska

We sat at this location for over two hours, waiting for storms to build. Being in position early is nice, but it can make you antsy to leave for other storms. Fearing a bust in Nebraska, we were tempted to drive for ongoing storms in Colorado. Once our cumulus began to tower and drop a little precipitation to entertain us though, our decision was made. This little cell would go on to become the eastern supercell in a cluster that eventually merged to form the "tsunami" nighttime structure. Can't wait to get some photos of that up! :)

Please tell me what you think 8-)

I think it's a really great shot! You can almost hear the wind off this picture, the movement in the wheat is a great capture too! And the colors in the sky are amazing! Very nice! :D
