A lone evergreen tree (with a wicked shape) sits in the middle of a Kansas field. This is a plot neighboring my grandparents' property. Another house will soon be built here. Makes me sad to see scenes like this disappear. All the better reason to take photos to remember the moments while they lasted. Who knows, maybe one day the great-grandchildren of the owners of the soon-to-be-built house will look at this photo in awe, wondering what the world was like in our time.
