Here's the view of the incredible mammatus display looking to the west after the sun set. Crazy how far the "tendrils" that connected to the mammatus streamed overhead and to the west. Surprised we were able to navigate the ridiculously slick/muddy road, but I suppose that's the advantage of having a light vehicle! =D

Wooow o: What type of lens/shutter/ISO do you have to use to get shots like this, Billy? I am going on a photography tour of the westernUSA in a few weeks and would love to know some of your techniques. o:

Believe this was a wide-angle shot around 10mm. All those settings vary situation to situation. Was probably shooting at something like f/8.0 or higher to keep both the foreground and background sharp. Likely a low ISO since the sky was incredibly bright :) In terms of shutter speed, I just left it in aperture priority mode and let that determine itself (typically use that mode when shooting a multitude of scenes with varying levels of light). :)

Honestly Evan... are you taking marketing? This looks like an ad for the car. The sort of photo that they use to illicit an emotion of wonder and amazement. Only this car can take you there. :D

It is brilliant though.

Haha, just simple framing and being at the right place at the right time ;) Funny you should mention that though, as I recently found out I have a relative who's a professional photographer that shoots cars for a living :P
