If you go to the zoo in the winter, you shouldn't have to worry about the crowds too much. Usually, this aquarium is packed full. However, as you can see here, we could freely set down our gear wherever we pleased and take shots using tripods =D

Very true. I just went to a large and well designed aquarium here in Seoul, but, also on a day when it was packed with people. Sooooooooo, almost nothing, unfortunately.:)
