Another gorgeous snowflake (this one shot after midnight ). Lots of interesting noteworthy details in this one. Around the edges of the flake, you can see bits of rime that stuck to the crystal as it fell. Some of this rime caused some "pitting" on the face of the crystal, making for a slightly uneven appearance. Another small hexagonal plate snowflake attached itself to this one (photo-bombed by nature!). And last but not least... the symmetrical bubbles in the center. Never could really truly appreciate these details for what they were until I started using a backlit-snowflake-on-glass setup. Comes off as a little harsh and scientific, but I plan on playing with the lighting (and color) in the future to make these feel a little more "artistic"
