Okay, so I totally just made up a word for the title. But whatever. It sounded cool When you shoot frost, you tend to start to notice certain general kinds of frost. There's the fractal-like "feather" frost, "column" frost, and occasionally "hoar" frost (really thick crystals). And then sometimes you get this. Sort of a snowflake/frost mixture. I'm going to guess that these snowflakes fell before the frost formed, and were later integrated into the patter. Sometimes you see these snowflake-shapes interspersed amongst a "field" of frost (I usually use my car windows as my canvas) with additional ice growing off of them. Pretty cool!

I made an attempt at the same thing the other day but alas, no macro lens. I'm going to have to get my hands on one!
