The first real storm of the year is always the most exciting. After months of flat clouds and cold temperatures, anything convective will do We got lucky with this early-season setup in march of 2011. We didn't get any bad storms in Omaha, but this updraft rolled just to our north. You can almost make out a couple striations, which was already more than I expected to see that day. In the lower right (sorry, it's a bit dark) you can see a nice low wall cloud. It never produced anything severe, but it was nice to see. Especially considering how local it was Here I am daydreaming about spring while winter hasn't even started yet I also like to use this shot as an example of neutral colors. I like to make my work as colorful as life portrayed it, and I did just that here. Standard editing, just like any other image, yet it's still by and large gray. Vivid colors always help make a great photo, but sometimes all you need is something different
