Fiery November by FramedByNature Fiery November by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
Tamron 10-24mm
3 shot HDR (-2, 0, +2)

November started off with a bang, displaying this fiery sunset. The colors were nearly blinding (the camera often has difficulty capturing those hot reds near the horizon). Quite a scene! Wish I could find a better landscape to frame the foreground, but of course, I'm limited to places within biking distance =D

Please tell me what you think!

Wow. The sky is on fire.

I'm not familiar with HDR photos but it looks like it's good. Will try soon.

Great shot.

How do you combine the pictures for a HDR?

You load the photos (usually 3 or 5) into a program like Photomatix, which merges them for you :)

Is there a way to do it on Photoshop?

Yes, I believe there is  Not sure what exactly it is, but I'm sure you can find out through a simple google search :)

This could just be my monitor..

However, that pinkish red is hard on my eyes. It's literally bleeding over the horizon line.

Other than that, this is a great shot. Well-composed... (Especially the track.)

No, luckily that's just some clouds above the horizon ;) The trees look pink simply because they were against such a bright background.
Thank you :)

The green and the red its what makes this picture amazing, like they're never meant to be touched by each other.

Thank you! This is a pretty common place to shoot sunsets, for me. It's just about the only place around where I can see the horizon, so excuse me if the landscape gets a bit old =D
