Sometimes I like to take a little wider shot of these nighttime snowflakes. The close detail shots are cool, but sometimes the wider perspective emphasizes just how unique these crystals are. No two are identical (though some can be similar ;)), no matter how many hours you spend searching for snowflakes, stooping over the deck railing freezing your butt off :P

Although I like closeups of the snowflakes, I really like this photograph due to the single snowflake really taking on a form compared to the rest of the snow around it.
