The sun released an X2-class solar flare earlier this week. When it finally began to hit the Earth, Chris Allington and I headed north out of Omaha to Blair, NE. We met up with Mike Hollingshead outside of this barn, monitoring the northern horizon and waiting for out auroras. Unfortunately, the auroras didn't happen (though that glow on the horizon sure made it look like something was happening). We tried to entertain ourselves with some moonlit clouds passing overhead. Overall, the night was a bust, though I'm actually pretty happy with this image.
Oh yeah, and while we weren't shooting the clouds, I managed to type a paper for my Government class and fill out a review packet for AP Psych
