Got up early this morning in hopes of catching comet Lovejoy rising 30 minutes before the sun. No such luck. It would have been a very faint sighting anyway, but the cirrus were in just the wrong spot and dashed any hopes of that. Made for a pretty cool sunrise above a suburban scene though! A little more special for me because that's the old neighborhood I used to live in

If you look on the far left side, you can just barely make out a yellow sun pillar

Had to look up that comet on Google--cool! Didn't even know a comet was around much less one that took a zillion degree solar plunge and survive

Can't really blame the comet for being a little shy after that
