Brought the wrong lens to shoot the sunset this evening. Dashed out the door thinking the 10mm would be a better choice than the kit lens. I was hoping the sunset would fill the whole sky, but this is the most it ever ended up doing. I guess using the 10mm is kind of like putting all your eggs in one basket. If things go according to plan, you get wide, dramatic images. It more cases than not though, the range of the kit lens proves to be the safer bet (especially the way sunsets have been going lately... seems like it's been ages since I've seen one that really called for a wide lens). Live and learn
