After coming out of my speech class this morning, I was greeted by one of the best displays of iridescence I've seen to-date. These clouds were located at the leading edge of a long band of cirrocumulus stretching north all the way out of Nebraska. The rest of the clouds were too thick to produce iridescence. I'm guessing these exhibited such vivid colors due to the fact that they were newly formed, and therefore had water droplets of very similar size and shape.
