Spent at least an hour this afternoon shooting small halticidae bees. I love taking photos of them because they're shiny and colorful... and I like shiny things

None of my shots of them turned out too great since it was windy this afternoon. Winds died down in the evening, when I took this shot of a young crab spider sitting on a cone flower petal. The more I shoot macro, the more I contemplate buying a real macro lens
