Day 210 of 365

For weather geeks:
Funny how much weather can affect your photography. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to shoot before I went out, but I knew I wanted clouds. These cumulus had been around all afternoon, and I was hoping they would stick around for sunset. Went to noaa.gov to read Omaha's AFD (area forecast discussion) to see if there was a chance of storms in the near future. Unfortunately, there wasn't. However, the AFD did mention that today's clouds would dissipate as diurnal heating disappeared. Basically, it was telling me "There aren't going to be any cumulus at sunset, so go out now!" Shot this scene over the train tracks by the park just before the last of the clouds disappeared. And sure enough, before the sun hit the horizon and the heating of the day was gone, the sky was completely empty. </ramble>

For everyone else: A pretty sunset over the train tracks! :iconlachoirplz:

So...in theory, there are "ditch weed" plants in this picture?
Could I make a request for some macro shots?

Yeah, there are, had to walk through some to get this photo :XD: I swear I had some closer shots but I can't find them.

Right now I am taking a drug called Cesamet...a synthetic marijuana type drug, for my arthritis.
Three bucks a pop.
If I was living down there I could make my own tincture.
Then again, if I was down there I wouldn't have healthcare, which covers most of the cost for the phony pot pills.
Six of one, half dozen of the other I guess.
I must admit to being extremely envious of your proximity to wild growing free medicine.

For everyone else who isn't a railfan this is just a sunset over the tracks. To me it's a double-main with 136-pound rail, and spiked ties in surprisingly good condition on a very mixed-looking ballast. Good weed control too. :D

Hahaha you are a genius ;) Good weed control indeed. Except on the side of the tracks, where there is literally weed growing :P

Hmm... Going for the advantage of having convenient rail transport for all the local dealers? :P
