It's very rare that you'll get an insect that actually cooperates with you when you want to take photos. This fly was the exception to that rule. Guess he was perfectly content sitting on his daisy, gathering pollen and licking around for food. Managed to take a few close reverse macro (@18mm) shots of his eyes. Probably had a few other shots that were better compositionally, but I really couldn't beat the detail in this shot.

this is crazy!! freaky! and creepy! i can see the whole detail on this bug! i never knew that this is what their eyes looks like in a closer look.. haha, i can see the pollens on your legs and face XD kinda.. reminds me of masked rider.. i dunno.. this just came up XD
