Spring seems to have been a bit slow to arrive this year. Finally got my first decent jumping spider shots just this last weekend. This was a pretty cool scene. Jumping spiders sure are crafty little devils when they hunt. I didn't see him actually catch the fly. I saw the fly and the spider on the wall one moment, and in the next, it was just one little lump of fight going on. The spider caught the fly, but the fly kept buzzing its wings trying to escape. He basically just held onto it until it stopped. I tried my best to get close shots without knocking his dinner out of his grasp
