Churning the Skyby *FramedByNature

After racing to get ahead of the eastern storm, we came out into clear air and were greeted by this gorgeous mesocyclone to the southwest. Just a classic supercellular updraft. You can almost see it spinning. Fun little side note: look in the "crunchy" part of the updraft and see if you can spot a word. Sort of tough to find at first, but once you see it, it really grabs your attention

Beautiful shot! I love how the sky goes from orange to purple...and I would've never noticed the word. Awesome weather shot; you really do see some of the coolest mesocyclones in Nebraska! I always love seeing the rain rotate with the storm clouds, too.
