Center of Condensation by FramedByNature Center of Condensation by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
18-55mm kit lens (reverse macro)

A pretty typical reverse macro shot, tiny droplets of condensation. Hooray for reverse macro ;)
Good news everyone! I think I'm gonna create a reverse macro tutorial soon. The bad news is that I couldn't get started on it today because I've been busy shooting nature and (maybe) some storms later.

Please tell me what you think!

It's a cheap macro technique - no macro lens required. You just shoot with your kit lens backwards [link]

nice stuff, just the crop is wrong - on both sides, there is a big waterdrop trimmed...
btw how do you manage inverse macro with kit lens? you use the 32F aperture or what? theres no aperture ring at the kit lens, is there? (i am nikonist, so i dotn know canon that well)

Ahh I see what you mean, that really breaks up the uniformity...
Think I was using F8 or so. I got most of the image in focus by using a very straight-on angle

ok... I dont speak about sharpness, its fair, i was just wondering how did you manage to control aperture ring manually at the kit lens...

Stunning... There's definitely something fascinating in it: it's simple almost to the point of being minimalistic, yet it is also very complex and interesting. I can't decide, so I'm calling it a case of pure awesomeness.
