As the sunset began, I looked to the east in hopes of seeing a rainbow. Unfortunately, I didn't see one at this point. Instead, I photographed the sunlit rain shafts, which made for an interesting composition with the converging shadows. As I began to take this panorama, a flock of doves flew just above me! It was magical. Although I didn't see it at the time, if you look towards the right side of the photo, you can see the beginning of a very faint rainbow. Thank goodness for panoramas! Otherwise, there would have been no way to capture this dynamic scene.
