Witness the power of nature at Framed By Nature .NET

Here's the last shot that I'll be posting from our Vivian, SD chase. Slightly sup-par quality here as this was taken while driving (much like many images from this day, since we were the ones being chased). At this point, the storm began to gust out and become outflow dominant, while retaining its incredible HP (high-precipitation) structure. :wow: This thing looked just plain mean! It was incredible how quickly this storm evolved from one stage to the next.

Please tell me what you think!

Reminds me of an alien mothership, only a lot more fierce. :-)

That is one big 'ol ball of evil. It reminds me of one of those underwater atomic explosion tests the government use to do.

You say sub-par, I say the blur and black-n-white take this from ominous to practically satanic.

Maybe not the best photograph, but kudos for sheer mood.

I know you do not like the quality, but it does not take away the drama of the image. Glad you posted it.

I've always though it'd be an amazing experience to storm chase like this, yet very terrifying! :)

It's amazing how fast storms will grow period. Especially when looking at Hurricanes. Went to bed one night looking at Tropical Storm Wilma, woke up the next day staring at a Cat 5 monster.
