Here's one of my favorite shots from the first night of our trip, shooting landscapes and the night sky in Badlands National Park!

This was taken just before we went back to our hotel in Wall, SD and crashed for the night. We were hoping to see some meteors or zodiacal light towards sunrise, but we were just too tired to stay out much longer

Regardless, I ended up with a pretty unique star trail looking towards the celestial equator (aka the straight trails directly between the north star and south celestial pole). Makes you feel pretty small!
