Autumn's Path by FramedByNature Autumn's Path by FramedByNature
Canon Digital Rebel XSi
Tamron 10-24mm

Season represented: Fall

This is actually an old photo that I took last fall. The original composition was vertical, but I cropped it horizontally for the Sony Calendar Contest. Think I actually like this horizontal composition better. :)

Please tell me what you think! :boogie:

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. How awesome that you captured this moment, it looks like something out of a story or a movie or something. Yep, that's all I have to say.

Very nice. :) Not sure whether I should even bother entering the contest. The environment around me isn't very photogenic and certainly wouldn't make for great calendar art.

You've just gotta learn to find beauty in your surroundings. I live in the suburbs, not exactly the most exciting or photogenic place :)

Sorry for intruding, but I must comment: I used to think like Drake, but then it just hit me, it is not where you live, it is how you live and how you perceive it. Although, I am not so successful in this philosophy, but I hope to learn :)

The red color on the top right of the picture, is it for real ?

Yeah, the red color in the top right is how it looked. I added contrast to the image, but only to bring back the color (usually you lose some vibrance when the light passes through the lens) :)

Welp I'm not gonna win. :P

Were those the natural colors or was the photo enhanced to bring them out? The reds are so vivid I'm inclined to say enhanced, but then I remember how bright some of my tulip photos turned out. Red is just plain vibrant. Either way, great shot. =)

Colors were enhanced a little. I do that to (mostly) all my photos since a lot of the color is lost when light passes through the glass of your camera lens :)

It's nice to see an autumn picture that's not the countryside or wilderness. Beauty can be anywhere!

Indeed it can! You've got to adapt to your surroundings. I've learned to find beauty in the most unusual places since I live in the suburbs =D

I love it. The colours are just amazing. x33
All the leaves where I live just turned brown and fell of the tree. No gorgeous colours or anything.
I'm envious.
Excellent photo.
